CUTTING A SINGLE MAT USING THE SIMPLEX PLUS MAT CUTTER
These directions are for:
an 11" x 14" mat with a 5" x 8" opening and a 3" border on all sides.
1. Set the mat guide and guide rail stop at 3". To set the mat guide: loosen the black knobs then slide the guide into position. Set the guide rail stop at the 3" mark at the bottom of the cutter.
2. Place the matboard face down in the cutter on top of a slip sheet. Make sure the board is flush with the mat guide and squaring arm.
3. Using the edge of the guide rail, draw a line with a pencil from the top to the bottom of the matboard.
